Blurbs from Nicole

- Anna-Joy and I enjoyed a walk in the park today with our new friend Susie who is pregnant with a baby boy.

- Home-made whip cream with almond extract is very tasty.

- I have 5 work-out DVDs from the library and hope to use one today.

- I got a free watermelon at Ingles with my purchase of over $50.

- Tonight's dinner: New Orleans flavored sausage (whatever that means), fresh beets, cabbage, and rice.

- I have on socks from South Korea.

- Anna-Joy doesn't like to sleep as much as she used to and it makes it harder to get things done. And she just squealed.

- My house only stays clean for about an hour ... and then there are magically more dishes in the sink, stuff strewn about the living room, and the bed is all un-made again.

- I've been watching court TV lately in the afternoons while I nurse Anna-Joy and it is always ridiculous.

- I recently decided that I want to be a doula and a personal chef at some point.

- Fixing one of the many issues with our car has made our budget extremely tight this month. But...

- I am starting back to work next Wednesday (for real this time). Just once a week.

- There is a wonderful cool breeze in the mountains today.

- I made a new friend at the park who told me all about how dogs sweat and insisted on getting water for Eastwood.

- I had coffee with Ally Croley Tuesday at the West End Bakery and it was fabulous. Well, seeing her was fabulous, my nutty-ginger muffin was not fabulous. I was thinking "ginger bread" but they actually put chunks of ginger in the muffin, I thought I was biting into a piece of apple - nope! yuck. But West Asheville is lovely in the summer time and any-time.

- John made me giggle last night. I don't remember over what, but it was nice to be silly with him.

- I have about a gazillion pictures on my computer that I desperately want to get printed.

- Outings to waterfalls are not as easy as they were without a baby. Duh. That shouldn't have surprised me.

- I find it hard to eat veggies lately. I don't want to buy them and then let them spoil but I hate going to the grocery store everyday. Any ideas? Any healthy, easy meal ideas?

Updated Pictures to come soon!
