It's getting close!

A lot has been happening here in Mahshie land. Anna Joy Mahshie is due May 8th, and that date is seeming very close these days! Thankfully, we have begun on her room and my parents blessed us with a crib and bookshelf for her room. This Valentines weekend we enjoyed a weekend with my parents. My Mom and John painted the baby's room green and pink. Carolyn, John's Mom, is going to make curtains for the room. It is very bright and girly and I love it. My Dad assembled the bookshelf. I cooked lunch and worked on baby shower invitations. My Mom and I also went to a baby consignment sale and I was able to purchase all the cloth diapers I should need! Last Spring, I nannied for a little girl that used cloth diapers and I decided that's the route I wanted to go when the time came. Little did I know that time would come so quickly! The newer style of cloth diapers are much more user friendly than the ones of old that used pins. The ones I got are contour fitted and they close with snaps. They come with water proof covers. I got 66 diapers and about 12 covers. I love the idea of not filling up a landfill with diapers, plus if we have one or two more children in the future, we are saving lots of money with cloth.
